The Story of Crocodile

Crocodile rolled over and under
crushing and drowning Zebra.
Zebra cried "Why are doing this to me? Why do you need my flesh?"
Crocodile shouted "For clarity Zebra, for clarity and for peace. Because this is the way of the universe". Zebra halted under Crocodile's body, her white fur soaked and streaked with red.
She looked Crocodile straight in his ancient eyes and said "But Crocodile, first you must give. You must give in order to receive, for that is the true way of the world. You don't have to be a monster Crocodile, there is beauty within you."
Crocodile became angry, throwing his body around with so much force he destroyed Zebra and let her float to the surface, in pieces.
I am a monster, wept Crocodile as he fed on Zebra.
Crocodile didn't understand that there must always be balance and that his purpose in the world doesn't have to make him monstrous. This is Crocodile's lesson, to find balance where it appears the hardest to achieve and understand. Crocodile must never forget that everything is equal in the eyes of the Great Spirit, for if he does, he puts himself at risk for selfishness and self-loathing.
