Clothes

$54.00

So, i'm going to go ahead and make one or two of these.
I've already written out my directions and shape forms.
I have purple zebra print I can use, so all I need is one yard of black.
Here are some other clothes
$21.99

$14.97

$8.97

$11.99

$25.97

$20.00

I've been looking up more clothing items and photos on Lookbook.nu to get a better idea as to what I seem to like paired together, for variation.
I like baggy tops with tight bottoms.
I like cowls.
-I LOVE her shoes, and the pairing of tight pants with a baggy tank top in the first photo.
And the cowl/scarf with fitted coat and tight pants in the second.

Aaand i've also been looking at getting a 6g taper, to stretch my ears.
I'd like to stretch to a zero.

Shoes?!

I really need a pair of heeled shoes. I had a pair of chunky heeled ones, but I think I may have accidentally put one of the shoes in a goodwill bag when I was ransacking my room to remove unwanted items.
SO
$55.00

I've really been wanting to get back into the habit of somewhat primping myself.
I want to get something to even out my skin tone, i'm really red on my cheeks/nose.
Any suggestions? What is that called exactly?
$24.50@Sephora
I wonder if this would work.

I've also been reading that priming your face helps your foundation stay in place, I use translucent powder, not foundation though.
It also seems that I need blush, I don't like really pink/rosey-ness though.
Aaaand i've been looking at stained lip gloss.
$10.00
I like the darker/plum shades.

$20.00 (Mulberry or sugar violet)

Flurries

It is March 29th and it is snowing this morning.
It is 30 degrees and feels like 22 (courtesy of weather.com).
But yet, we just had the spring equinox/Eostra.
And it is SNOWING?!
Oh midwest weather, you pain me.

Morbid Things

So i've wanted to go to Body Worlds since I found out about them around 14 or 15. Apparently they are going to be in Chicago starting tomorrow, till September!!
I'm so excited!

The tickets are 27$ a piece, which gives you access to the rest of Chicago's science museum.
I'm trying to see if we can go see it April 7th, or whether it would be better to try to go see it over summer vacation, maybe as a *BIRTHDAY GIFT*.
This is the Transit Schedule for the bus that will take us to the museum.

On a similar note Mutter Museum, a science museum in Philadelphia, is one place I want to visit more than once.
They also have these great books of medical studies done with the bodies/bones/matter etc. that is on display.

Recent Mumbojumbo!

Hey everyone!
I've been rather busy this past week, as it is my week after Spring Break.
I've started on a new painting, and i'm really excited about it.
I want to finish it in time to use it in my April 7th, portfolio review @ SAIC.
I realized recently that once I move away for art school, depending on our circumstances, i'm not going to be able to commit myself to roller derby. Which sucks, but BFA programs are really demanding if you want to succeed. I still plan on possibly reffing or skating randomly, I don't want to get rusty because, as of right now, I still plan on picking it up again once i've graduated with my BFA (circumstances willing).
So there's that.
I've also been looking up dates for the Chicago Pagan Pride Festival this year, i'm disappointed that I haven't been able to attend these last two-three years. I really want to make it happen this year, especially since we are putting money aside for a car now.
We've started two savings funds:
Car-Goal 2,000 (have by Fall 2011)
Art school Move- Goal 4,000 (have by Late Summer/Early fall 2012)

I also plan on going to the Olde English Faire this summer! I was put out that I couldn't go last summer. Maybe i'll make my gypsy costume to wear.
Our Writing Fellows program for round 2 might be switching our dates around, which is actually more accommodating to my crazy-ass schedule.
Alec and I have our four year anniversary the 13th, we are celebrating it Friday the 22nd by going to the Cirque Du Soleil performance and possibly going out to eat.
Which should be loads of awesome-ness.
I've got my portfolio review coming up.

Recap

Tri Mon Skate Con 2 @ an airport hangar in Terre Haute,IN.
Was fantastic!
So much fun meeting and scrimmaging with different roller derby girls.
I've been doing these drawing intensive assignments Alec has been giving me.
Ex. 5 30 minute faces with shading, 5 30 minute drawings of this doll in foreshortened positions with fabric. etc.
Pretty intense!
I've got my midterm critique on Monday, and then i'm staying in the painting lab to work on a collaboration.
Alec and I took some awesome photos of me to use for reference for some extreme distortion of the female form.
I worked Thursday and Friday night.
I'm hoping to take the framing test to become a certified framer by the end of this summer.
Even though I went over 2 full minutes on my roller derby speech for comm 110, I got a B!
Which is a relief, because I thought she took off one letter grade for each full minute over 8.
It is crazy to think that this semester is half way over!
I'm going to go to Jo-Ann's and get some spandex for my roller derby swap.
I need to finish my items in three weeks for the swap send outs.
I've been watching Being Human every Monday, I love it!
It keeps building and developing much more successfully than I thought it would.
I was afraid of it being a failure, due to the vampire craze.

I went to practice and got my hair cut today.
My hawk is shorter in width, and my sides are shorter.
My hawk length is about 3/4" shorter than it was before.
However, she did lop off one of my sideburns nearly completely, which sucks.
BUT she did give me free 10$ gel and only charged me 15$ for the total process.
The FAFSA has been pissing me off, I spent a week waiting for a pin for my mom which never came, and all I had to do was have it opened in a separate screen.
GRRR. It might fuck with how much financial aid I get next year.
*facepalm*

I've been doing a lot of research about cost of living in areas with the best art schools aaaaand it seems as though we are going to have to move to a really big city and have like six roommates.
Which is shitty.
On an unrelated note, I found out the next season of Walking Dead is coming out in October!

Spring Vacation ends Monday, *sigh*

Please could you refrain to remove my copyright

you put yours ?
Do I have to say thanks for that ?
